What it does

The essentials, straight from the source.

Metal renderer

Graphics on Apple's Metal, with a persistent shader cache so games compile less the next time.

Built-in JIT

An ARM64 recompiler for iOS 17.4 and later. Without JIT the much slower interpreter runs.

Controllers and touch

DualSense, Xbox and MFi controllers, or an on-screen GamePad.

Your own games

Load .wua files or decrypted folders, or encrypted ones with your own keys.txt. Updates and DLC can be imported.

EspressU ships no firmware, keys or games. You need your own dumps from your own Wii U. Not affiliated with Nintendo.

Ready in a few minutes

You need three things before you start.

A recent iPhone or iPad

iOS or iPadOS 17.4 or later, with Developer Mode turned on.

Your own Wii U dumps

Games, and a keys.txt if they are encrypted. Nothing is included.

A way to enable JIT

Import your pairing file and connect LocalDevVPN. JIT starts on its own.
